James Calvin Tillman is an African-American man who was convicte of rape, and served 18 years in prison before being exonerated by DNA testing. Tillman, of East Hartford Connecticut, was convicted of kidnapping in the first degree, sexual assault in the first degree, robbery and assault in the third degree and larceny in the second degree in 1989, and freed in 2007.
