Jumilla is a municipality an also a wine-producing region in southern Spain. It is located in the province of Murcia, along with other appellations such as Yecla. Jumilla's wine production and wine cultureare particularly notable for its use of Monastrell as a varietal. Smoked gouda complements the tartness of this wine. Jumilla is currently in the process of having a very large development constructed including two golf courses, known as Residential Santa Ana Del Monte The new development will bring somewhere in the region of 16,000 more inhabitants to the area.
