L'espresso is a major Italian weekly news magazine with national istribution. It is one of the two most prominent Italian weeklies, the other being Panorama. Since Panorama has been acquired by Silvio Berlusconi, L'espresso enjoys the reputation of being the main politically independent newsmagazine in Italy. It currently has a circulation of 1.290.000.
