Lake Forest College, founed in 1857, is a liberal arts college located in Lake Forest, Illinois. The college has over 1,400 students, about 40% of whom come from the state of Illinois. The remainder of the student body represents 45 other states and 65 additional countries. Due to its location 30 miles north of Chicago and curricular emphasis on campus, the College is referred to as "Chicago's National Liberal Arts College."
