Scissor oors are one of several nicknames for doors that rotate vertically at a fixed hinge near the end of the windshield. Other nicknames are beetle-wing doors, jackknife doors, switchblade doors, and Lamborghini ("Lambo") doors. These are sometimes mistakenly called suicide doors.
