Lancair International, Inc. (pronounce ‘lance-air’) is a leading manufacturer of general aviation aircraft kits. The company is located in Redmond, Oregon USA. The company was founded by Lance Neibauer in 1981 as a producer of composite homebuilt aircraft kits. In March, 2003, Lance Neibauer sold the kit company to Joseph Bartels, a Louisiana attorney and Lancair IV-P builder and owner. The new owner continues to sell the kits that have proven themselves with hundreds sold and thousands of flight hours logged. Mr. Bartels has also continued the tradition of innovative development and design with the introduction of the new Lancair Evolution which was unveiled at Sun-n-Fun on April 8, 2008.
