The Laramie Boomerang is Laramie, Wyoming's only aily newspaper. It was founded in 1881 by Edgar Wilson Nye, who named the paper after his mule, Boomerang. Nye also contributed several humorous writings to the Boomerang (under the pseudonym Bill Nye) and served as the paper's editor until 1884.
