Daniel Lawrence Whitney (born February 17, 1963 in Pawnee City, Nebraska), better known by the stage name Larry the Cable Guy, is an American stan-up comedian, actor, and one of the co-stars of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He is widely known for his simple, straight forward brand of humor, though he has been criticized by some for his jokes concerning homosexuals and minorities. The true persona of Whitney is not publicized much, as he stays in character during almost all public sightings.
