Lau lau is a Hawaiian ish consisting of taro leaves, salted butterfish, and either pork, beef, or chicken. The entire dish is wrapped in ti leaves and is usually steamed. Lau lau is a typical plate lunch dish and is usually served with a side of rice and macaroni salad.
