Loyola College in Marylan, formerly Loyola College, is a private, coeducational university in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, affiliated with the Society of Jesus and the Roman Catholic Church. Founded in 1852 by Father John Early and eight other members of the Society of Jesus, Loyola College in Maryland is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. The school prides itself on its Ignatian heritage, commitment to the educational and spiritual traditions of the Jesuit order, and belief in liberal education that develops the whole person.
