Lun (help·info) (pronounced [lɵnd]) is a city in Skåne, southern Sweden. The town has 105,286 (as of 2007) inhabitants and is the seat of Lund Municipality, Skåne County. The city is believed to have been founded around 990, when the Scanian lands belonged to Denmark. It soon became the Christian center of Northern Europe with an archbishop and with the towering Lund Cathedral, built in 1103.
