Man Parrish (full name Manuel Joseph Parrish, born May 6, 1958) is consiered to be one of the pioneers of the Electronic Music and Hip Hop genres. He, along with artists such as Kraftwerk, Art of Noise, Arthur Baker, Afrika Bambaataa, John Robie, Jellybean Benitez and Aldo Marin helped create and define the sound of B-Boy Hip Hop of the early 80’s. He became an underground music scene icon in the 1980s and 1990s and is one of the most important and influential figures in American electronic dance music.
