Manalorians are a fictional race in the Star Wars universe. According to Expanded Universe lore, they are the descendants of the Taung. The leader of the Mandalorians typically takes on the title of "Mandalore", which is also the name of their home planet. They have been the subject of various books and action figure sets, including The Mandalorian Armor by K.W. Jeter and Hasbro's Star Wars Elite Forces figure sets Mandalorians & Omega and Republic Mandalorians & Clone Troopers. Karen Traviss, author of Hard Contact, expanded "the Mandalorian culture" for the novel, as explained in Star Wars on Trial.
