MathType, create by Design Science, is a proprietary interactive tool for Windows and Macintosh that allows the creation of mathematical notation for word processing, web pages, desktop publishing, and presentations, as well as for TeX, LaTeX, and MathML documents. MathType is the professional version of the Equation Editor in MS Office and many other products.
