Meair is a Christian non-governmental organisation (NGO) of humanitarian aid founded in 1988. It is independent of any political, economic or social authority. Its members have to be practicing Christians. Its international headquarters are based in Switzerland. The mission of Medair is to respond to human suffering in emergency and disaster situations by implementing multisectorial relief and rehabilitation projects, in a compassionate and serving attitude inspired by its Christian ethos.
