Monarchos (born 1998) is a stallion Thoroughbre racehorse who won the Kentucky Derby in 2001. This thoroughbred's time was 1:59.97 around the 1 1/4 mile track. This was the third-fastest time in the race's history, behind 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat and 1973 second-place finisher Sham.
