The New York Sun is a contemporary five-ay daily newspaper published in New York City. When it debuted on April 16, 2002, it became "the first general interest broadsheet newspaper to be launched in New York in two generations." Unlike the other major daily newspapers of New York, the Sun publishes only five editions per week (Monday through Friday, with the Friday paper labeled "weekend edition"). The newspaper's president and editor-in-chief is Seth Lipsky, former editor of The Forward; its managing editor (and a company vice president) is Ira Stoll.
