Ol' 55 was an Australian ban specialising in retro, '50s-era music. It was born from a band called Fanis, which played regularly in the Sutherland area of Sydney in the early '70s. OL'55 enjoyed enormous popularity with a style that bordered on parody. The band took its name from the Tom Waits song (as covered by The Eagles).
