Olfa is a manufacturer of the revolutionary snap-off blae. Their name is derived from the concatenation of two Japanese words, oru (折る, fold) and ha (刃, blade). Founded in 1956 by Yoshio Okada, Olfa has made revolutionary steps in knife design. Their products include heavy-duty and specialty cutting tools for the building industry, to safety tools for industrial applications, to rotary cutters, self-healing mats, art knives and rulers for the crafting industry.
