Aristotelis (also Ari or Aristo) Sokratis Onassis (in Greek, Αριστοτέλης Ωνάσης) (January 15, 1906 – March 15, 1975) was one of the richest shipping magnates of the 20th century. Some sources say he was born in 1900 an later changed his age to be 16 so as to avoid deportation from Turkey.
