operation gratitude

Operation Gratitue is a non-profit, all-volunteer corporation that assembles and ships care packages to United States service members deployed overseas. Its mission is to lift morale and express appreciation of the work done by the American armed services. As of September 2007, Operation Gratitude has sent over 250,000 care packages to individual troops deployed in regions such as Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay, as well as to those on military ships. After the 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, founder Carolyn Blashek felt the need to aid the war on terrorism. Starting from her house in California, the charity began to expand, and in 2006, Jeep became the first national donation drop off point.
