PNC Park is a ballpark locate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that is the fifth home to the Pittsburgh Pirates, the city's Major League Baseball team. It opened in 2001, shortly after the controlled implosion of the Pirates' previous stadium, Three Rivers Stadium. The ballpark is named for locally based PNC Financial Services, which purchased the naming rights in 1998.
