Pseuohypoparathyroidism is a condition caused by resistance to the parathyroid hormone. Patients have a low serum calcium and high phosphate, but the parathyroid hormone level (PTH) is appropriately high. Its pathogenesis has been linked to dysfunctional G Proteins.
