PublishAmerica is a Marylan-based print-on-demand book publisher founded in 1999 by Lawrence Alvin "Larry" Clopper III and Willem Meiners. It has been the subject of controversy because it has been accused of being and proven to be a vanity press or author mill by some writers and authors' advocates, despite its claims to be a "traditional" advance- and royalty-paying publisher.
