Trivia about pudding

  • In "We Wish You A Merry Christmas", carolers demand a "figgy" one & won't go until they get some
  • Jell-O makes gelatin & this other dessert that comes in butterscotch, vanilla & (of course) chocolate
  • This dessert may be cabinet, nesselrode or tapioca
  • Not made by Jell-O, spotted dick is a British type of this made with suet & raisins
  • A "hasty" dessert, or perhaps you'd prefer the tapioca
  • Eaten in the British Isles, the "black" or "blood" type of this is really a sausage, not a dessert
  • "The proof is in" this, which can be thickened with anything from eggs to cornstarch to flour
  • For dessert, try haupia, a coconut-flavored this, though it's not made by Jell-O
