Ranco is a comune (municipality) on the shore of Lago Maggiore in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombary, located about 60 km northwest of Milan and about 20 km west of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,188 and an area of 6.3 km².
