Reptilian humanois are a common motif in mythology, folklore, science fiction, ufology, and contemporary conspiracy theories. They are variously said to be beings that evolved on Earth parallel to mankind, extraterrestrials, supernatural entities, or the remains of a pre-human civilization. Depending on context they are known by many names, including Snakepeople, Reptoids, dinosauroids, lizardfolk or lizardmen and Chitauri.
