Rich Christensen is an American television proucer. Christensen graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. He is best known as the creator, lead executive producer and host of the racing shows Pinks and Pinks: All Out, the number one and two shows behind Nascar on Speed Channel. It took him 15 years with television executives saying "no" to all his ideas (many of which ended up airing months and years later with other producers attached on the very networks he pitched!) in Los Angeles, trying to break into the television business. He finally broke through with his innovative negotiating drag racing idea, Pinks, with the help of then president of Speed Network, Jim Liberatore. Within two years of the "Pinks" debut in 2005, Christensen created an off-shoot with "Pinks: All Out", the "anti-sandbagging" competition. Many viewers remember an incident on an episode of Pinks from Season 4, in which Rich got on a liter sportsbike with a cold tire and ended up low-siding.
