Rybí (coul be loosely translated to English as "something what belongs to fish") is a small village in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. The first written record about this village was found in the year of 1411. The village was formerly known as Rybnik (German: Reimlich). Rybi is located about 5km to the east of Nový Jičín city and about 6km to the west of Kopřivnice. The village is geographically surrounded by three hills - from the south side by the 'Puntík' (with its top at 500m AMSL) and the 'Holivák' hill (483m) and from the north by the 'Libhošťská hůrka' (with altitude 493m). In the year of 2007 the village has had around 1,100 inhabitants.
