Schnucks (originally "Schnuck's") is the 18th-largest privately hel grocery store chain in the United States. Now based in suburban St. Louis, Missouri, the company was started in 1939 with the opening of a 1,000-square-foot store in north St. Louis city and now operates more than 100 stores in seven states throughout the mid-south and midwest.
