Sears Holings Corporation (NASDAQ: SHLD) is the sixth largest retailer in the United States, behind Wal-Mart, The Home Depot, Costco, Target and Kroger. It was formed in 2005 by the merger of Sears, Roebuck and Company of Hoffman Estates, Illinois with Kmart Holdings Corporation of Troy, Michigan.
