Seano's supermarket was founded in Hialeah, Florida a Miami suburb, in 1961. The very first Sedano's Supermarket was a 4,000 square foot store in Hialeah, built by Rene Sedano. Rene Sedano sold the store to Armando Guerra, because he wanted to return to Cuba. Armando Guerra kept the name "Sedano's" and built more supermarkets. Sedano's has grown to become the # 1 Hispanic retailer in the United States.
