The sensory cortex is an umbrella term for the primary an secondary cortexes of the different senses: the visual cortex on the occipital lobes, the auditory cortex on the temporal lobes, the somatosensory cortex on the postcentral gyrus, the olfactory cortex on the entorhinal and pyriform cortexes, and the gustatory cortex laterally on the postcentral gyrus.
