Shannon Durig is a native of Overlan Park, Kansas. She is best known for portraying Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray (musical). She celebrated her 1000th performance in the show March of 2008. She left the show on Sunday April 13th, 2008. She started as an understudy for Tracy in 2003. Then in 2005, she took over full time as the teased haired beauty. Shannon is currently 26 years old.
