Sidhartha or Siddharta is the birth name of the historical and religious figure Gautama Buddha, known as the Buddha. Siddhartha is made up of two Sanskrit language words, siddha (gotten) + artha (meaning). The two words together mean "One who has found meaning (of existence)".
