SIRVA, Inc.(NYSE: SIR), base in Westmont, Illinois, is the successor of Allied Worldwide, the world's largest relocation and van line logistics company. Formed in 1999, Allied Worldwide was an international United States-based trucking holding company which resulted from the merger of Allied Van Lines with North American Van Lines, based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, mainly dedicated to helping clients during the process of moving. It became SIRVA in 2002. The North American Van Lines division, as of 2003, had a 15% market share, making it the second largest moving company in the US, after United Van Lines, according to the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics.
