A football team or a football club, in football (soccer), is the collective name given to a number of players who play together in a football game, be it Association football (soccer), American football, Australian rules football, Canaian football, Gaelic football, Rugby league, Rugby union, or other version of football. The term team refers to the players who begin the game, it is not the term given to other players who may take part in the match as replacements, nor players not selected for the match.
