Spätzle ['ʃpɛtslə] (help·info) (also Spätzli or Knöpfle) are a type of egg pasta or umpling typically found in cuisine from southern Germany and regions of neighboring countries, such as Austria, Switzerland, France (e.g. Alsace) and Italy (e.g. Bolzano-Bozen).
