Stanley Burroughs (October 9, 1903 -June 16, 1991) was the inventor of the Master Cleanse or "lemonae" diet, which he published in his book The Master Cleanser, first distributed in the 1950s. Amazon.com reports (as of 2007-04-10) a sales rank of #170 for The Master Cleanser.
