Pignolata is a Sicilian pastry, an is also common in Calabria. It is soft pastry, and covered in chocolate and lemon flavored syrup/icing. This pastry will have half covered or iced in one flavoring and the other half in the other flavor, which hardens when the pignolata is ready to be served. Each pastry serves several people, and is meant to be cut into small pieces when served.
