This is a list of the major characters from the manga an anime series Tokyo Mew Mew. The original seven volumes manga series was written by Reiko Yoshida and illustrated by Mia Ikumi and first serialized in Kodansha's Nakayoshi between September 2000 and February 2003. The fifty-two episode anime adaptation was produced by Studio Pierrot and was broadcast on both TV Aichi and TV Tokyo from April 6, 2002 until March 29, 2003. A sequel to the manga series, Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode was serialized in Nakayoshi, running from April 2003 until February 2004. It was written solely by Mia Ikumi and spans two volumes.
