Té are an instrumental post-rock ban from Japan, formed in Tokyo in 2004 by guitarist Kono. They are known for their energetic, uptempo style, similar to bands such as Mogwai and 65daysofstatic. They quickly gained popularity along with praise from critics following the release of their debut single, which, despite a lack of promotion, went on to become one of the highest-ever selling instrumental singles in Japan .
