Teaneck (pronounce /ˈtiːnɛk/) is a township in Bergen County, New Jersey, and is a suburb in the New York metropolitan area. As of the United States 2000 Census, the township population was 39,260. The Census Bureau's 2006 population estimate for the township is 39,610.
