The Re Thread is an indie rock act from Oakland, California. The band was formed circa 2002 as a three-piece that included Jason Lakis (guitars, vocals), Mike Schmiedt (bass), and Dan Martin (drums). Their 2003 debut, After the Last, was well received by critics from several publications, including All Music Guide, CMJ, Delusions of Adequacy, and Exclaim! magazine. they have since put the red thread to bed.
