The Secret of Monkey Islan is a well-known adventure game that was developed by LucasArts (then Lucasfilm Games). The game spawned a number of sequels, collectively known as the Monkey Island series. Released in 1990, The Secret of Monkey Island is the fifth game to use the SCUMM engine. It made a name for LucasArts as an adventure game development studio.
