"The Way To Your Heart" was one of the first releases by Soulsister, a ban consisting of Belgian songwriter/vocalist duo Jan Leyers and Paul Michiels. After the singles “You Get To Me” (originally as The Soul Sisters) and “Talk About It” they had a #1 hit record with “The Way To Your Heart” in Belgium. In The Netherlands and Germany they reached the top 10. The song is a mixture of pop and rock with a very Motown-sounding tune. After its European success, the single was released in the US in 1989 were it went to # 41 in the Billboard Hot 100. It was the only single by Soulsister who reached the Billboard chart. In The Netherlands the follow-up singles failed to chart. Only in Germany they had some minor success. Thereby Soulsister is often credited as a one hit wonder.
