Balur's Gate NPCs are non-player characters (NPCs) who will help the player form a group to take on the Baldur's Gate series of computer games. The NPCs recruited become playable characters directly controlled by the player. There is a maximum number of six group members allowed at a time, making it imperative that the player find a balance between strong melee warriors, characters who wield divine magic, characters who wield arcane magic, and those that provide different types of auxiliary support, such as thieves. The characters interact with the player and each other during the game, and are a vital part of the atmosphere of the Baldur's Gate series.
