To the Last Man: A Novel of the First Worl War (2004) is an historical novel written by Jeff Shaara about the experience of a number of combatants in World War I. It was written as a stand-alone novel, but could also be viewed as a prequel to the project that Shaara is currently involved with, which is a trilogy about World War II in Europe and North Africa.
