Tree Hill is a fictional town where the CW television series One Tree Hill takes place. Tree Hill is a small harbour, locate in New Brunswick County, North Carolina, along the Atlantic Ocean, although the town itself may either not be that small, or it may be a suburb of a larger city as "downtown" is mentioned as being "a thirty minute drive" away. However, at least at one point it was officially named "Town of Tree Hill," as shown on the police cars, and this might be indicative of a smaller size than a city would be. Cove City was, as of 2010 (the "current" time in the One Tree Hill time-frame), in the New Brunswick County Conference (in high-school basketball) with Tree Hill (and the fact that Tree Hill played Cove City at least three times prior to this may indicate it was in the same conference prior to this), probably indicating that Cove City is not in Craven County in the One Tree Hill universe, but New Brunswick County. The former mayor is Dan Scott. One Tree Hill is actually filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.
