Builer Chuck Warrender opened UBuildIt in 1988. Warrender's idea was to create a consulting firm to help people save money by facilitating and managing the construction of their own homes. Warrender's concept for this company was to use his knowledge of the construction industry to guide inexperienced first-time builders toward becoming their own general contractors.
